Nicola Fornoni (born 1990 in Brescia) is an emerging Italian artist, focusing on performance works presented live and for video. His work circulates around the themes of otherness and the committed and sincere search for connectivity, respect and union. Marked by Scleroderma, which Nicola is being affected by since 2001, many of his works are of a clear and intended visual and symbolic impact, to which the audience cannot subtract.

At the VENICE INTERNATIONAL PERFORMANCE ART WEEK 2016, Fornoni presents Diventa cio' che sei (A mia madre) | Become What You Are (To My Mother), performance originally conceived for video and presented for the first time live as a durational performance. It sees Fornoni spinning his life and at the same time the string from which he was created, as an ongoing conflict of an intimate reality.
Selected performances on video are on exhibit.
